Teacup Tuesday/Snowman teapot

It has been a long time since I have participated in Teacup Tuesday because I have used self-restraint in buying more cups and pots. In fact, I have refrained from even looking at thrift shops and flea markets. January always means a time of work on writing and a cessation of the social activities for me.

However, I noticed my snowman teapot is still out. I don’t think I have shared him or seen one on the T.T. before. I think he came from Hallmark. I have had him so long I can’t remember for sure. This is a big pot and dark navy blue; the dark color is right for the dark, gray days of winter. The simple snowman on the side reminds me to keep my life simple…at least for a month! Pot after pot of cinnamon tea, Irish Breakfast, and a good herbal in the evenings are brewed constantly.

While I try not to have cakes, pies, and such, a nice shortbread makes a perfect special treat for some days. Otherwise we try to stick to gram crackers, some nuts, or some nice cheese to nibble. The tea itself becomes the centerpiece in January.
A special welcome to new followers Nancy, Linda and Kat. It is always nice to see new readers and to hear their comments. The more the merrier!

That is so cute! You have vintage-itis...I do to. I have promised to get through my stuff I have before buying more but it is so hard!!!! I love your snowman teapot! So perfect for the time of the year. I haven't seen on before. So cute!

I have done the same, until the holiday. I was trying not to go to the thrift shop or buy any china for a while. But on the holiday I found two tea cups...yay!
My new motto is "Bring one in, take on out!" and it applies to everything! lol! So I must give away two of my tea cups, and luckily my daughter is beginning her collection so I know just where to send them.
Your snowman tea pot is very festive and cute! It is perfect for Christmas, but also does winter well, no need to put it away just yet : )
Thanks so much for sharing!

Very cute snowman tea pot. Since I'm fairly new to the Tea Parties I haven't run out of tea cups to share...yet! Perhaps the time will come. I haven't even purchased a tea cup as I have so many my mother and grandmother gave me. My mother is wanting to give me some more but I have no room. ;) In the meantime I'm enjoying the fun!

Totally adorable this snowman teacup is! I haven't bought any china since six months ago my red transferware...boy, I have to stay away though! I will also inherit my mother's, so I might as well keep out of the shops, lol.. Thank you for your sweet and kind visit.

Love the snowman teapot. Life without tea would be unbearable.

Ohhhhh, that's a cute pot, Claudia. Glad you shared it. The nice brewed tea sounds good. I had a cup of Celestial Seasonings' peach before bed last night and it was delicious. Susan
