Not Again!

Bruised sky twists in fury,
Dropping an angry fist.
Knockout punch wreaks havoc.
Biased bout is uncontested carnage;
Earth is stunned.

Yes, Bookie, stunned indeed. It wreaked terrible havoc, loss, tears, sorrow and unparalleled devastation.

So, so sorry for all in Oklahoma. Susan

I just read on Linda's comments that YOU had an F1 on YOUR street?? That is way too close for comfort....even an F1!! Thinking of you....

Oh, and yes....I'm with Linda! That is beautifully written and should be entered somewhere!

You took bad events and used them to create powerful poetry. Your work sums everything up more effectively than any three or four paragraph description might have. Well done.

Stunned, indeed. And all too frequent. My daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren were in the Chapman, KS F4 tornado 4 years ago, and the damage was horrific. Watching Joplin and now Moore brings back so much grief.
You captured the essence beautifully, Claudia.

Beautiful poem... caught up with the rest of your blog posts. Boy, you've been busy. You made me hungry for that taco! And I love the blue pickle dish. All your adventures sound fun. Hope all is well with you.
