In
a world that seems to have gone amok, there is still joy, color, sunshine, and
kindness, and yes, weeds too!

DH
has been sick for three weeks. Still no answers but some meds finally this week
that are helping. It has been a little hard to keep that “stiff upper lip”
around here! But today it is 75 and windows open which is delightful. I refuse
to worry today about the severe storms, hail and wind forecast for tomorrow!

This
morning I went to the post office which is a challenge as so many steps or a
long walk up handicapped ramps. I was carrying a couple of large and one heavy
box. A man was there before I started and climbed the steps and stood. By the
time I got to the doors, I realized he had been waiting on me from the
beginning just to open the door. He told me the inside door was already open so
I did not need to wait for him to open for me. I thanked him but was amazed to
realize how much he put himself out for me. It feels good to see kindness.

Of
course, the kindness of others has carried me a long way thus far this year. I
constantly am on the receiving end of kindness from others, from many readers
here. I have posted pictures of things
before, but here are more of things where people went out of their way to think
of me.

Thanks
again! I try to pay it forward and hope to have many opportunities to do it a
lot longer!

Kindness never goes astray does it? And in this sometimes frightening world there is a LOT of it. I really wish the media would acknowledge and celebrate it more.
Hugs.
Claudia--Lovely gifts and gestures for a lovely woman. By the way, you look great. (Those bold gold earrings make you fierce-looking. ;)
"I refuse to worry ..."
Having just received an unsettling, uncertain diagnosis, I so need to embrace that mind-set!
BTW, that first photo is adorable. Yellow, yay!!!
Oh Claudia, wouldn't it be a most wonderful world if everyone showed more kindness? I So appreciate every little kind gesture from others and there are many. This world can be so dark and scary and the scattering of little kindnesses, no matter how small, make it bright and promising again. You deserve a torrent of kindnesses! You have been through so much. Now I just pray to God DH is MUCH BETTER SOON. Hugs, Susan
I must say you look really good in your photos! "Refuse to worry" IS the answer, as worry doesn't fix anything. We are also enjoying the warm weather. I offered to pull out a chair for a woman on a walker and she thanked me profusely. I said if everyone showed a little kindness, the world would be a better place. She said, "I want you to know, you did your part today." It was such a small thing that I did, but it meant the world to her. Hope hubby is better.
Kindness counts. And is so easy to do. Don't know why more people don't think of it. ;) Sending healing wishes for your husband. Take care.
Hello dear Claudia! I'm checking on only one blog this evening...and it is yours! I love all the pictures of some of the lovely gifts you've been given. You are such a kind and good person, you just draw those kind of people to you. Karma....ya know! I think my favorite photo is the one of you in white. White sweater, white framed sunglasses....cap! You look adorable...mahhhhvelous, and quite like a celebrity! Hugs!
Your outlook and positive attitude are an inspiration, Claudia, and that is a kindness you are bestowing on the rest of us. Thanks for being a bright spot for us, even on the days when you aren't feeling so sunny. I'm so glad you're up to blogging again!
