Happy Father's Day

This summer will be 15 years since my Dad has been gone. Much has occured and all events have felt the loss of his presence. Father's Day always reminds me of the hole in the fabric of my life. Here he was a high school student of the 40's, happy and smiling, with his dad and brother. All are gone now. I hope they are together once again.

Happy Father's Day, Dad!

How sweet. It wonderful to keep his memory alive with pictures.

That was a nice remembrance of your Dad. He must have been very special to you.

I think of all the sweet people in my own life who are now gone to the other side, too, Claudia. With each passing, my heart gets a new hole. But memories soothe as well as the realization that this life is transitory and the other life will be without pain, sorrow or suffering. Susan

Claudia--I imagine you are full of stories about your dad. Have you ever (or are you already?) compiled them into a collection (for your family)?

Lovely post, Claudia.
My dad has been gone for seven years, and even though his final years were very difficult and sad because of the Alzheimer's, at our Father's Day brunch this year, we all shared happy, special memories about him and hoped he was listening.
Wonderful picture of your dad with his dad and brother.
