No school here again today and roads
slick this morning. The skies were dark and ugly. Now rain and warmer temps, but possibly more ice and snow
tonight. After a slow start to the day, things moved again so the scheduled Christmas
Tea here this morning happened after all!
I pulled out the Blue Willow cups and saucers and used at least one blue snow man teapot. It was a blue Christmas along with all the festive red today!
Isn't this a happy fellow? A special friend brought him to me for the season. I just love his face and feel quite happy when I look at his face!
I'm so glad you were able to have your festive tea, Claudia! Wish I lived closer....I would've crashed your party! :)
ReplyDeleteI love-love-love your snowman. His smile is infectious. Snowing here.
ReplyDeleteYou said it beautifully, Claudia: What it's all about really is friends getting together, laughing and having a good time.
ReplyDeleteBut you set a delightful table, too!
Your get together sounds delightful, and I agree that spending the time with friends is key, no matter how elaborate (or not!) the refreshments. Really, though, it's tough to beat tea with anything. :)
ReplyDeleteHope the snow starts melting, but doesn't melt that adorable snowman!
ReplyDeleteI love the quilt under the tree. Your home is lovely, warm and cozy!
ReplyDeleteI am certain the children were happy school was closed! The Christmas tea table is lovely with the blue willow pattern cups and saucers. The cute snowman is iso happy and special since it is from a friend. I am so glad your tea party was a success. Have a very Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeletePam
As a not-retired teacher, I LOVE the snow and ice.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a marvelous time, Claudia.
